WHAT TO EXPECT

Beginner-friendly instruction (for 101 Classes) — learn the rules, the tiles, and the rhythm of the game.

One drink ticket: your choice of beer, wine, or a soft drink.

A relaxed, social setting: come solo, with a friend, or bring a small group.

All materials provided: tiles, racks, and reference cards are all set up for you.

Open Play Classes: a fun, friendly, and lightly competitive evening designed for players who already know the basics of American Mahjong. There won’t be formal instruction, so come ready to play, meet new friends, and have fun. We’ll be using the 2026 National Mah Jongg League card and standard rules. We play for points and keep score, with prizes awarded to the top three Mahjong winners. We’ll also raffle off an additional prize during the evening.
